Vitruvius, Water Organ
Marcus Vitruvius Pollio, Roman architect and engineer, wrote in the year 25 B.C. the book De Architectura, Libri Decem, (On Architecture, Ten Books). In book X, chapter VIII can be found the description of this water organ. See also the complete translation of Vitruvius, Ten Books, presented by Bill Thayer from The University of Kansas. |
