Brian Eno
Windows 95 Start Sound Sequence
In Microsoft operating System Windows 95 you find in the folder
C:\Windows\Media a file with the name "The Microsoft
Sound.wav". This sound sequence is played as standard when Windows
95 is started.
Under the properties of this wav-file Brian Eno is mentioned as the
interpret, in fact Brian Eno is the composer of the sound sequence with
a duration of 6,123 seconds. During an interview he remarks that he has
received 35.000 US-Dollars for this commissioned composition.
Sorry I have only a German version of Windows 95 at my disposal.
